Dear TJ & Tammy and the Staff of TJ’s Music
How are you?
I have been a long-term patron and friend of your music store and many of your teachers/staff for over 10 years. Your employees are always professional and eager to help your customers with a variety of things from letting them bang on drums, strum some guitars (which are always in tune by the way) or whatever and you treat everyone like you want & appreciate their business.
As a working musician/performer (2014 is my 20th year performing - yikes!) my needs vary from smaller purchases (strings, picks etc.) or the occasional higher ticket item. In either case – your staff is always helpful and friendly. Many of them know me by name –which is very cool and at times unexpected.
In the business world (unfortunately) it is more common to take the time to COMPLAIN about poor service or shabby equipment and sometimes these sentiments are necessary to improve a product or service. This is entirely not the case here.
This past Friday I went into your store around 12:20pm looking to purchase a new Sennheisser Evolution G3 wireless vocal microphone as my mic had just died the prior weekend and I hadn’t the time to come in earlier in the week. My needs were very specific and I knew you don’t normally keep this product in stock –but you can get it for me. I had a wedding to perform at the next day and needed this mic ASAP –and would even pay for it to be overnighted.
Your Manager got on the phone immediately to 2 different dealers that you have – both of which were out to lunch. My hopes of getting the mic in time were dwindling and I realized my expectations were probably too high. He said he would call me when he heard back – I figured I would get my new mic by Tues or so. I received the phone call that the MIC would be in the store by noon on Saturday. What!?? At 9:45am Sat it had already arrived in the store! I brought my hard-travel case with me and wondered if they could install the new equipment and remove my old equipment. They did this without question and I was able to pick up my gear at 1pm in plenty of time to prep for the gig.
A huge THANK YOU for a job well-done!
